ok since no one answered me I will answer myself.
I used ghost personal edition, was a pain to figure it all out,the destuctions where best left for someone else.
but once i figured out how to set up the image to burn it took about 11 minutes to compress and set up.
Then just to verify it works i had it burn over my c:drive scary but it did work,It even setup my drive image with netscape on it.
so yes ghost well let you make a back up of your drive just have keep it under 650 megs
so it fits on a cdrw.

yep but im trying to keep it to one disk I was hoping to figure out a way to make like a compaq rescue disk, but i still cant compress it far enough ghost just dont compress it small enough,to let me put everything i want on it.
