Angry Java question

I am having some difficulty getting into the Yahoo chat room. Here is what is going on. When I try to get into the Yahoo chat room, it states that Your Browser is unable to support Java. Please enable Java and reload or try our HTML client.

Could you please tell me what I need to do about this? What do I need to download? I have Windows XP Home Version.
