Hi there, Im using XP pro service pack 2 ie 6, when I download files it either changes to a gif type image and or seems to download in the bottom left corner of the page, it dosent give a choice of download location option
sorry hope this question isnt too vague

Goto Internet Options>Security>Custom>
Make sure that the Download File options are enabled.
Also, try right-clicking a file and choosing Save As, then choose the Location.

The previous reply should stop it from happening again.
if you downloaded a file and do not know where it went to, do a computer search for the file if you know the name or do an advance search by day. Sort by time and find the approximate time you downloaded the file.
