Hi all. I am a newbie to your BB and I was interested in what wireless equipment is used by your members. A short reasoning on how or why you chose said equipment would be interesting also.

I will start by saying I chose a Microsoft solution, although it is not actually manufactured by Microsoft, itself. I know this because my brother-in-law works for Microsoft. Anyway I use the 802.11g MN-700 Base station router/access point and have two MN-730 wireless internal PCI adapters on two desktops and a MN-720 wireless adapter for my laptop. The network management software is not browser based and I have had zero problems with configuring.
I chose this system, more than any other reason, out of frustration. I had had a linksys router before and could never configure it to work reliably with MSN Messenger using video and voice, unless I placed outside DMZ. I can now netcam with audio with most all of my family, flawlessly. The only exception are those who are still dial-up and cannot suffer the performance degradation of 56k.

I use linksys and had no problems with it. I originally purchased one because it was the only brand walmart sold and continue to upgrade using it because I am happy with the performance and the ease of setup.

I had no problems with msn messenger and did not have to do anything specific to get it working. No longer use msn messenger for other reasons.

renegade600, Did you netcam with audio with your Linksys on MSN? If so, it looks like I should have found you before I took a beating on the sale of my Linksys:)
