Hi all. I am a newbie to your BB and I was interested in what wireless equipment is used by your members. A short reasoning on how or why you chose said equipment would be interesting also.
I will start by saying I chose a Microsoft solution, although it is not actually manufactured by Microsoft, itself. I know this because my brother-in-law works for Microsoft. Anyway I use the 802.11g MN-700 Base station router/access point and have two MN-730 wireless internal PCI adapters on two desktops and a MN-720 wireless adapter for my laptop. The network management software is not browser based and I have had zero problems with configuring.
I chose this system, more than any other reason, out of frustration. I had had a linksys router before and could never configure it to work reliably with MSN Messenger using video and voice, unless I placed outside DMZ. I can now netcam with audio with most all of my family, flawlessly. The only exception are those who are still dial-up and cannot suffer the performance degradation of 56k.
