monitor help

My monitor is not working properly. If you plug it in, it begins to have a clicking noise inside and the green LED blinks real fast.. I cant see anything on monitor, Can anyone please help me figure out what might be wrong or how to fix it.
It is a multisystems 17 or 19" product number EZ-986 model 986M man. april2000

sounds like the monitor is going bad, if you are able to, try it on another computer. Also be sure to verify that all of the cables including the plug to the wall outlet is plugged in securely.
