but I don't care. I can't afford pride, hehe!

Is a wav attached to e-mail on your hard drive until you actually open it and save it somewhere? I just want to know because I'm getting these, saving them, and playing them on a system I have; then deleting them. This is recommended or your system will slow down quickly. But, I would feel better keeping the wavs for at least two or three days. So after being deleted, if I keep my e-mail for two or three days, would you say I still have them but it's not taking up room on my hard drive?

Thanks for any insight.

What a dumb question!!!

hehe j/k http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/wink.gif

What e-mail program you using?

I use Eudora. When I receive my e-mail with an attachment, it copies the attachment to my hard drive, and it stays there until I delete it, even if I delete the e-mail it stays there. I don't know about Outlook.

Thanks, Junky and Dave, appreciate your responses! Yep, I have OE. Sorta good to know that even if you accidentally delete your mail, which I've never done but one never knows, it could still be found! http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Harrie, just one other thing about this. If when you try to open the attachment, it asks if you want to download right away (I forget the actual wording), or save it to disk, you might want to do the save to disk, maybe even create a folder to add these attachments to. Then open up that folder, and right click over the file you just downloaded, and assuming you have an AV program, click on the "check for viruses". It only takes a matter of seconds, well worth doing just to be safe.

Dave.

Thanks, Dave. I'm not real up on viruses, hoaxes and all that, and am probably not as careful as I should be. Good info.
