Russian Google doesn't show up in IE

Dear friends:

When doing a search in Russian in IE6, the results don't show up at all, not even in computer gibberish (series of question marks). Please see screenshot:

On the other hand, the same search in Netscape brings up a page full of results with the Russian test in a series of question marks but the rest of the results clearly visible in Roman alphabet.

Thank you so much.

Dear renegade600:

Thanks for responding.

I don't think that's the problem. I have no problem searching in Russian in Google on my wife's Win2000 computer.

Something else is amiss.
