I was trying to make a back up copy of Unreal Tournament (So I can have a backup copy, not give to a friend.) but I installed and tried to run it from the backup disc, but when I tried to run it, a message told me to insert the unreal tournament disc one.

Is there and anti-copy device on the disc, or am I not doing something right. I tried using nero, but that didn't work, so I used the windows xp burning application. I can install it, and the auto run comes up, but I can play it.

I'm concerned that if my original disc gets destroyed, then I wouldn't be able to play Unreal tournament, because I haven't seen it in stores last time I looked.

Hi,

Don't think anyones will really help you here. Sounds dodgy too me:michaelan

If you keep the game cd in a safe place and in a case, it shouldn't get damaged.

Hi Mr Chris

It is illegal to copy software and the forum rules here state that assistance cannot be given.

I thought so long as you actually have the game in question, you can leagally make back backups of it can't you?

Unfortunately you cannot copy the software.

Take a look here for Unreal Tournament:

Some software makers allow an archival backup - others don't (they figure you don't 'own' it - you've just 'licenced' a copy). Need to read the fine print (I know, I don't either!).
