U.S. Air Force Unveils New Space Badge

The Air Force Space Command has taken the wraps off its new space badge, designed to be worn by both space and missile operations professionals. Is it just me or does this look like the Star Trek symbol, not that I'm complaining? Is there some older symbol that both got their common look from?

I believe it is an older symbol instead of being a star trek look. From where, I do not remember.
