How do I delete the Spyware Guard Icon in the system tray?

Cheers

Open it, click on File (top left), then Exit.
Click Yes when asked "Are you sure?".

Cheers Zip but that's turning off the program and when you open up again it comes back!! Trying to get it to work without the icon in sys tray and can't remember if it gave the options for icons when I downloaded it ages ago.

Sorry, but that's the only way I was aware of.
Mind my asking a reason for ditching the tray icon, while still running SG?

Don't mind you asking at all zip. Fact is, I am very happy with my icon in the sys tray, but the person who wants to remove theirs wants to do so because a lot of family members use the pc (some kids) and I think he's worried someone might tamper with the program. I have explained it can be passworded but I think he feels safer having it 'Out of sight, Out of mind' type thing.

Cheers for the input though,

I got a tip and I found it by going to startup in msconfig, but will deleting it only remove it from the sys tray, or would it impair or even prevent the program working at all?

Never used the program before but look through the preferences as there maybe an option to hide the icon.

If using XP you can also set the Icon to be always hidden.

Using MSCONFIG will actually disable the program from starting up.

Cheers Degs, I thought it might not be a good idea to go that route. There is nothing (no preferences, options or anything similar) in the program to hide the icon and I can't remember whether it gives you the options when installing either. No big deal but thanks for the input.

Cheers
