My hp940C printer spits out sheet after sheet when powered on. On the top line of each sheet,it prints cryptic looking shapes,smilies,hearts,etc.:( in a small font.I tried a software un-re/install which did not help.In fact,it will do this without any printer software on my p.c. at all.Anybody else heard of this?It's kind of scary!:eek: What should I do?:dizzy:

go to your control panel, printer and faxes, open the default printer and make sure there are no documents waiting to be printed there.
what type of file did you last tried to print?

Thanks for responding:blush: .Its working now.There were no pending jobs.It just decided to behave when I woke up this morning and rebooted.Go figure...

you are right, the printer does have a mind of its own. Glad the problem is solved. :wave:
