Pocket PC wifi in school?!?!?!?! HELP!

I have a toshiba e740 with wireless wifi. I can connect at home just fine on my 802.11 signal router. When I go to school I can connect and I get an IP address and a signal but it will not let me browse web pages. Is this a firewall problem? How can I fix this?
