every time i burn a cd-rw, it comes up as read only. disk utility is no help, because i cannot erase them, even following the instructions. i have set my permissions as read and write, to no avail. apple support is of no help.
can i avoid wasting all these discs?
help?

Use Toast. The Apple disk burner isn't the best application for burning RW disks in my experience.

MacBurn....is a 30 dollar program but does allow you to rewrite on an rw without haveing to erase it again first. It is great to create these multisession disks. It also allows you to burn onto dvds. It is worth checking out. I know toast is like 99 dollars. Hope this helps.:michaelan
