Hey everybody. I'm new here. That thread with all the tips really sped up my computer. Anyway, I know you turn on javascript by clicking enable active scripting on the internet options list. But it didn't work for me!! On all the guides online that I went to, they all told me the same way to turn it on. Some sites said my javascript was enabled, some said it wasn't. I'm wondering whats happening here. Thanks.

How to Check If You Have the Microsoft VM

To determine if you have the Microsoft VM installed on your computer:

If you are running Microsoft Windows 98 or Windows Me
On the taskbar at the bottom of your screen, click Start, and then click Run.
Type: command
At the command prompt, type: jview
If a message displays information about Java,
you have the VM installed on your computer.
If a message displays Bad command or file name,
you do not have the VM installed on your computer.

If you are running Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, or Windows XP
On the taskbar at the bottom of your screen, click Start, and then click Run.
Type: cmd
At the command prompt, type: jview
If a message displays information about Java,
you have the VM installed on your computer.
If a message displays
'Jview' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program, or batch file,
you do not have the VM installed on your computer.

The first three sites say its working, the last one doesnt even come up. And the site that I want to use still isn't working. On my dad's comp (which the javascript works on) when I click the little tab on the site called "Book Pages" on the little loading bar under IE, it said "Book Pages" as well. But on my computer when I click on the same tab, it says javascript:top.onClickPageTab() What is that?
