Greetings,

Wondering if you would be able to help me out? I previously had computer issues so I reinstalled WIN98. That seemed to take care of the issues. I then downloaded Internet Explorer version 6.0.2800.1106IS. Since then I have been receiving an error message, "This program ahs performed an illeagal opearion and will be shut down" Details include; EXPLORER caused an exception 6d007fH in module WEBCHECK>DLL at 015f:78f32599.

When I click on the CLOSE button IE closes and returns with my desktop with a message "click to restore original desktop" (or something like that I can't remember exactly). I restore my original desktop and life will be good for awhile and then the same thing happens again. I went out onto Microsofts site to try and figure it out myself, but quickly gave up. Can you please give me some direction?

Thanks much!!

Tim

Check out the MS KB article, "Module Webcheck.dll" Error Message When Opening My Computer or After Internet Explorer Upgrade (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=250841).

Thanks but I was already here. I am using IE6.01 and the Microsoft page was refering to IE 5.0 or 5.1 so I am not sure what the current version of the various .dll should be.
