Recently downloaded two cartoons(.mov's) from Atom Films.com
When I would try to play them I would get,
Error: Unable to Download an Appropriate Decompressor (Q230687)
If I closed the Error window the aodio would play but no video.

Checked the things Microsoft said check, 5.5 browser,
Security settings etc.

I downloaded the 7.1 media player, I no longer get the error
but still no video.Just audio.

If I'm online the media player showes Locating codecs
at the bottom, but still no video.

If I understand right the codec should have been installed
with the download, but then again maby I don't understand.

Win98SE, 16gig free, 256mem, 800Mz Duron.

Any help would be appreciated.

MOV FORMAT
.Mov is mostly used as a Macintosh video format, but will also run on Windows machines. Windows Media Player 7.1 will play .mov files, but you may need to go to the Apple website and download Quicktime 4.0.
QuickTime 5.0 (http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/index.html)

Tried to install QT but I got this.

File download failed.
QTUninstall was not successfully downloaded.

RETRY CANCEL
Clicked retry with the same results.

I redownloaded the file and tried installing it again
but i still got
File download failed.
QTUninstall was not successfully downloaded.

I downloaded the third time and turned OFF the mirror sites
in my Download Accelerator, then it installed just fine.

Thanks Theoran now my .mov's have audio & video.
:)
