Ok, well, last night, I restarted my computer, and all of a sudden it started saying "Invalid system disk, Please insert disk and press enter". I would press enter, knowing that there was no disk in the drive, and here's what it would say

Boot from CD:
Boot from CD:
Insert system disk and press any key...

And then, I just press keys seeing if it would "snap out of it", and it keeps giving the above message. This happens now everytime I start the computer. I went to "bootdisk.com" and made a bootdisk for Windows 98 SE. Well, I pop that in my floppy drive, and it still gives me the same messages, and doesn't even read my A: drive. I don't understand what's going on, and if anyone could give any help or support it'd be greatly apreciated. I'm here at college, and I don't have much money to take it into somewhere and have them even LOOK at it, let alone fix it. Thanks

Go in to your bios (setup) and see what order the drives are setuo to boot.
Mine is set to c: only, but if I want flop to boot, I change sequence to flop first.
A comon setup is a:; c:; d:
That looks at a: first, No system, it goes to c: No system it goes to d:
I hope this works out for ya,

Yea, I pressed delete to go to the BIOS setup, and found the ordering under advanced Bios, and it already had said that the first Boot was Floppy. Then I exited the Bios, and it went right back to displaying that message. I completely and totally do not get it....

Has the system been moved around recently? Are the connections inside the box secure? Is your BIOS IDE Detection set to Auto? Are you sure the bootdisk will boot a system? (Did you dload it directly to flop, or run the .exe from the folder in which you saved the dload file?)

This error is typically caused by:

1. Floppy or CD that is not bootable is currently in the computer.
2. Hard disk drive does not have bootable files on it.
3. CMOS is not setup properly.
4. The hard disk drive is bad or not connected properly.
