Speakers issue

Anyone have knowledge of the sound cutting out on an original iMac 333 mhz?
Sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not.
Shaking it, tapping it, banging it (I only did that once) doesn't help.

Internal or external spaeakers? I assume internal.

Could be a faulty connection internally, bad RAM or overworked CPU when playing music. Virtual memory settings in preOSX Systems can also effect the smoothness of audio.
