Hello !
during some struggling with my PC (Windows 98) I made a wrong move. All my desk-top pictogrammes that constitute a link to a programme are changed into "Outlook Express". The only pictogrammes that are unchanged on my workspace are "This computer", the "Recycle bin", "My documents" and "Internet explorer".
If I right-click on the icons and look for properties, I still find the right file reference. However, if I left-click on ANY of the changed pictogrammes in order to start the programme, Outlook Express always starts.
I can still start any programme by looking for it with explorer and starting them directly. Going to the programme followed by right-click and "send to desktop" does not help; still the pictogramme of Outlook re-appears.
Obviously I have told the system that pictogrammes of "links" should look like Outlook.
Could you advise me on how to get my normal programme-pictogrammes back on the desktop?
