Hi,
I'm unable to connect to the Internet with NIS enabled. Also when I run LiveUpdate (even with NIS disabled) I get the following error - which is why I tried uninstalling/reinstalling NIS in the first place:
LU1861: LiveUpdate has detected a problem with the task scheduling service on your computer. This problem may prevent Automatic LiveUpdate from running.
The support page here (http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/sharedtech.nsf/docid/2004070811115213?OpenDocument&src=_mi&product=LU&version=2.5&language=english&module=LU&error=1861&build=Symantec) says to look for an error code of 80 in the task but I don't see that so I'm not sure what is going on.
Once I click OK to the error, LiveUpdate will connect and work but I can't leave NIS disabled all the time or I'm sure to get lots of bad stuff on my 'puter.
I tried to uninstall/reinstall (and found a virus in the process which has been removed) but I'm still getting the error in LiveUpdate.
Any ideas out there?
