hlo monsures.. im new to cd burning so doesnt know much bout it. HAve recently bought an asus cd r/w drive to do the THANGS.. but the prob is i have some tricky q'sthe answer of which i havent found after days of browsing.. the enqu's are:-

1)how can i burn multisession cds with nero(like xp does it good)?

2)I have some audio (or maybe mp3 i dunno) cds which have literally hundreds of songs.. but when i try to burn an audio cd the softs say that about 60mb/15songs (ONLY!) can be burnt. What is required to burn more than at least 50 songs? Any soft/special format/anything special..please give me some suggestion...

3)is burning cds at high speed(48x<) better or is burning them in slower speed(16x<) is the better idea?

4)and last what is an ISO image??can i create DVDs with my cd writer(with the help op any soft in particular)

1. In Nero, poke around in its options to make sure it's set to "leave session open" or something similar. Then when adding more data to an already-used CD, make sure you "Import session" so that both the old and new data will be accessible.

2. Audio CDs are limited by time, not data size. They can hold 72 (or maybe it's 74, somewhere around there, anyway) minutes of audio. As far as I know, that can't be changed. Since mp3s are written as data files, not music files, their limit is file size, not time.

3. ISO images are described on this page (http://www.wordiq.com/definition/ISO_image). No, you can't create DVDs with a CD writer. That requires a DVD writer.

I personally burn at 4X when I am making a CD specifically for my portable CD player. It seems to skip and hang up less than if I burn at higher speeds, but then again it's a pretty crappy portable. Other than that, I burn at 52X for all other CDs I make be it data or music and never have any problems.

When you burn your CD you need to choose Close Session, but not Finalise CD.

There are different types of CD Project.
An Audio CD will create a proper Audio CD and will convert your tracks into Time.
e.g. You 15 tracks take up 74 minutes so that's all you can fit onto the CD.

What you need to do is create an MP3 CD. This option should be available in the Project Selector.

These days you should be fine burning at the top speed.
You can only nurn to what the CD's support, so if you have 32x CD's then you can only burn at that speed (the program will detect this).

The only time I would burn at a lower speed would be if I was having problems with a certain project.

An ISO image is a CD held in a file.

e.g.
Take an Operating System such as Linux.
Some Linux versions are available for download in ISO format.

When you burn this ISO it will create the actual Bootable CD to install/Run the OS.
