This is a question to all on high. I note that on other "inferior" forums (my quote), they manage to state who are on/offline next or adjacent to the user name. Would it be possible to include this in CTH forums? I realise that members online can be viewed in the forum index but I found it useful when engaged in an ongoing problem discussion to know the status of members who had replied to my post(s) as they unfolded. Thanks.

the feature is already available. Just that some of the members stay invisible so that they would not be bothered with pm's from people bypassing the public forum wanting private help. I believe it is that button beside your name in the messages.

renegade600's right. If the light's green, that member is currently online. If not, they're not. And if you're a moderator, it's indicated whether the member is online but 'hidden'. If all that's too complicated, simply open this page (http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/online.php?) and keep it open over in the corner somewhere. :)
