Mishy bought a car for £600 and then sold it to Sharpy for £800. He later bought it back for £1000 and then resold it for £1200.
Did Mishy make any money and if so how much?

+200 - 200 (800-1000) = 0.
0 + 200 (-1000 + 1200) = +200.

Total net gain = £200.

You can look at this as two cars.He bought one for 600 sold for 800 the other he bought for 1000 sold for 1200 so I don't see how it could be only 200 hundred he made unless we don't have all the facts???
