Bandwidth being sucked
Windows XP Pro. 80gb hardrive 1994 mhz RAM -512mb ASDL - 576 KB/s - 128KB/s download Samsung cdrw/dvd sm – 352b Nero 6 ultra ed. + upgrades
Avast! Firewall. Spybot. Adaware. Cwshreddeer. Hijackthis. Regcleaner Hi, For the last couple of weeks I have had a problem with downloading anything from any P2P source as my downloads are so low. Its like all my bandwidth is being drained. I have uninstalled anything that might be the cause and only have one application running at a time I am wondering if it's my isp ( Wannadoo ) that is limiting it. Also I checked my cpu but to be honest I dont know what that means except that the higher it is the worse it is. I have reinstalled the same programme - WinMX - 4 times and have also used three different versions of it and also done a system restore and several debugs with spybot, adaware, online Trend Micro etc and they come out clean but my downloads are still very low and it's the same if I go to another application. I have Avast firewall which is configured for WinMX and I never had a problem with the others before so I don't know why this is happening now. I am running windows Xp Pro SP1 I know this is a bit vague but I don't know why it should change overnight. Any thoughts on the matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

your isp could be doing the limiting. check with them or review their tos.
