Not knowing what i am doing exactly, mozilla refused to start saying that i might need to create another profile (don't know exactly what is that), now it turns out that i am using a new browser which obviously doesn't have my bookmarks and settings! Could anyone tells me how to get the default profile back, please!
A question on the side, how to get plugins for mozilla, since as far as i know macromedia works only with internet explorer, which i am not using anymore.

First, you need to close all the firefox windows or this will not work.
Next, open and command window (Run 'cmd')
Then go to the directory where firefox is installed.
(Usually C:\Program Files\mozilla firefox)
Finally, enter 'firefox -profilemanager' on the command line. (omit quotes)
This should bring up the profile manager for firefox.

Just a note to say that you can omit the CMD part.
goto Start>Run> and type firefox -profilemanager
