hlo ppl... im now in great fix. Ive found some great sites that have the best download ever...but alas in some FREAKIN BIT TORRENT files. I've downloaded a bit torrent file download manager but the download is like helms deep..it STARTS ABOUT 10-15 minutes after the job has been appointed. And the download speed is so poor that well..nothing can be poorer. So how can i download the torrent files faster. is there any way at all to start the download jobs immediately?? AND THE MOST IMP THING IS "HOW CAN THE FILES BE DOWNLOADED AS FAST AS NORMAL DOWNLOAD IS DONE"
thanx...for ur help/suggestion...that is if u have any/// pletonic out -<-<@ |

Obviously you aren't familiar with how torrent files work. You can't just click and expect it to be done in a timely fashion. No no no no no. When you select a torrent file to download, you are connecting to a tracker which then points you to peers that are offering the file. As with any P2P network, there are queues. You can't really see them like on Kazaa or WinMX or whatever, but they're there. And just like every other P2P network the amount of bandwidth is limited by what other users just like you are able to or willing to give. Since most people don't want to give a lot of bandwidth, there isn't a lot to be had. So fast downloading via Bittorrent doesn't happen very often.
Here's some links to info about Bittorrent: http://www.dslreports.com/faq/7387 http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/arch....cfm#slowstart http://www.mp3newswire.net/stories/2003/bittorrent.html http://mnl.cs.sunysb.edu/home/karthi...btworking.html http://webword.com/modules.php?op=mo...article&sid=69 http://www.sims.berkeley.edu/~katste...rrent.html#how So basically, if you want the file fast, find a differnt source or *gasp* actually go buy it or pay to see it or whatever. |
