Quizzyness

Ok, just back from fitzy's thread and I feel bad having answered their quiz. So here is my idea... The person who answer's this question has to provide the next quiz. Game?

Jane had two wind up clocks that had not been used for many years.
She decided to try them out, so she wound both, set the time accurately,
and started them at the same time.
An hour later, clock A had gained one minute while clock B had lost two.
The next morning clock A said 7 A.M. while clock B was at 6 A.M.
What time was it when she started the clocks?

Clock A gained 20 minutes since being set. Clock B had lost 40 minutes since being set. The actual time was 6:40am. 20 minutes @ 1 minute per hour = 20 hours. 6:40am - 20 hours = 10:40 am the day before. ÿ

Correct!!

Another way to look at it is that every hour there is a three minute difference between the clocks A +1 and B -2. The time being one hour different on the clocks leads to 60minutes divided by three minutes pre hour equals 20 hours for the clocks to have a one hour difference.
