Kicking me off the web
Every so often while I'm online I get an error message saying Internet Explorer will now close. When I click OK, another error message appears before IE terminates: The instruction at "0x1001d10e" referenced memory at "0x00000004". The memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate the program.
It seems to happen more often when I access sites that load ads, especially Hotmail (I cant get to my inbox at all). I recently installed a wireless network. Maybe this has something to do with it. This only happens on the PC that's wired to the router. Any ideas how to correct this? Using Windows XP, IE 6 Linksys WRT54G v.2 Thanks. Last edited by jrs5; November 7th, 2004 at 05:09 PM. |

did it work right after the installation of the wireless network? Also tell about your computer, cpu, harddrive size/space available, ram. Also check your security settings.

I've got an HP pavilion 540n, 40 gig hard drive with 15 free gigs, and 256 megs of RAM. I'm kinda computer ignorant, so I dont know what security settings to check.
The problem seemed to happen right after the installation of the network. Maybe a coincidence? Thanks. |
