IE6 and opening new windows in XP

Whenever I click on a link to open a new window in IE6, the window that appears is about 2/3s of the full size. How can I change this so that all windows are full screen when they open? I was able to do this before when I was using Windows 98, but I can't figure out how to make it work for XP. Thanks!

When the window opens, expand it to the full size you want, then close it

The next time you open a link the window should open full size.

Hi,

What method did you use with 98?

Are you taking about a first browser window or a second, meaning a window opened from a link on a current window.

If it is for a first Window then usually setting the winddow to maximised then closing it will set the size.

afaik you cannot natively set a second browser window open maximised.
You can get it to open a a certain size.

To do this you can open a second browser window then scale it to the required size then close it.
Subsequent windows opened should open at the same size.

Other methods are to enter javascript code into the address bar.

e.g.
javascript:resizeTo(800,600)
