recovering favorites

My computer works on win98se. Lately it caught a bug and I couldn’t load the internet explorer 6. As no measures helped I reformatted my c; drive and loaded all the necessary programs again. I couldn’t also to export properly my “favorites” shortcuts, so I saved them as a folder in my D: drive. Now I don’t succeed to load it again to IE6.
I have there several folders which sit in a main “favorites” folder, but the IE6 “import/export” doesn’t accept them. I tried also to copy them from windows explorer into a Word file, or print them directly but it doesn’t work.
What is the proper way to load the shortcuts or to put them in a work file for further processing?
Please advise.
Thanks

Yochanan

If you have the shortcuts then you can copy them into the Favorites folder

either
c:\windows\favorites
or
c:\windows\profiles\username\favorites

I understood that the only way is to "import". Now I will try to copy directly.
thanks
