Can't get into eBay website?!?

I don't know what could be causing this, but I can't get into www.ebay.com! I know the site isn't down b/c my husband's computer in the same room hooked to the same router and modem can get in no problem. I get the screen that says " We can't find "www.ebay.com"" I've run ad aware but that didn't help. Yesterday I ran a scandisk, defrag, disk cleanup and rebooted. I had to unplug and replug in my modem and router to get an online connection (I have to do this every time I run all that stuff for some reason) and when I got back online I WAS able to get into ebay. But now this morning I can't again. So I think something fixes when I run all that stuff, but I can't do that several times a day, it isn't practical. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks

Try this HOSTS file reader and see if ebay is referenced

Sorry it took me so long to reply, I didn't get an email telling me I had a reply? Anyway, I ran that and no ebay was not listed. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to when I can get in and when I cant. Any other suggestions? Oh, and another website I can't get into at the same time when this happens with ebay is www.mycoupons.com. Those are the only two websites I've found so far to be having this problem with. Once I notice I can get into ebay, I'll try mycoupons.com and sure enough, I can get into that one too. Hope this info helps...please help

When it next happens see if you can access it via a Proxy

I typed ebay's address into that website you gave me and the site wouldn't let me view "Sorry! Anonymizer Free Private Surfing Offers Limited Access to Select Sites" but if I have tried accessing it through yahoo and google and it makes no difference. I still can't get in. I've since found another site it happens with...if I can't get into ebay, I can't get into these other two sites as well. I keep looking for a commonality when this happens but can't come up with anything.

I've run the virus checker and spyware but it doesn't help.

A few months ago I did download a new Windows update and it put this AWEFUL firewall on my system that I'd love to get rid of but I hear once you download the update it's in your system forever! Seems the ebay problem has been happening since that windows update download. I've tried disabling the firewall but I still can't get it in. I am praying someone can help me here! You all are so wonderful and can usually answer my question or fix my problem.

Any other suggestions?
