Nt will not load with Dual 866MHz Procs.
Ok, I am not a guru on computers, but I can get around on most machines and networks. I have a problem loading NT 4.0 on a new machine with twin procs and lots of ram. I have no problesm in detecting the HD's and all the hardware, but about 1/2 way throught the install when it begins to config the desktop, etc. it dumps. Sometimes I can get it to finish the install on the next attempt after chkdsk does its thing, but I don't trust it. I have tried HD's from 3.0 g to 40 (IDE) and nothing seems to work. I could use a lot of help here. So if anyone can throw me a bone about what I am doing wrong,or if I am simply over looking the obvisious i would appreciate it.
