Internet connection through mac on windows server 2003

I have 3 macs running OSX 10.3 connected to our windows 2003 server with a broadband internet connection. When any of these machines try to connect to any web site, that web site cannot be found on the first or second attempt. On the third retry the connection is made. This happens consistently and is annoying but not a show stopper. Any ideas welcome.

Hi Garry,

From a networking point of view it sounds like you may be having some nameserver problems. Check your DNS settings. I believe that you can run nslookup on the command line on OSX. If so run and enter set debug (should provide debug info when you query), then enter www.google.com (or some other name). Check the output for timeouts and the like.
