Question Connections Tray - DSL

Hi, I'm having a problem with my DSL connection. When I've been connected for a while (couples of hours), the connection just freezes (I cannot access the internet anymore, when I open my browser it says "could not find the page... dns error...", and no other application can access the internet) and the two computer screens in the system tray freeze with just one of the two screens "on" (it does that with the dsl connection icon and the network connection icon in the system tray). When it gets to this point, I can't disconnect from the internet, I can't try to reconnect either.

I've tryed to:
-Turning off caching of bad dns
-Reparing my network connection
-I've scan my computer for trojan, virus, hijack, etc...

All I can do is restart my computer. And when I do, the "End program" windows box appear:
"End program... Connections Tray"... End Now...
So I click on "End now" and then the computer tries to restart but it jams on "Saving your settings" indefinetely and I must press reset... (I've once waited for an hour...)

I have Win XP SP2

All the help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I have the same problem: at a certain point the connection freezes.
When I close the computer, the same message appears.
I'm working on a Lenovo T60 with Win XP SP2.
Is it he machine or is it the software?
Cheers.
