hi i've recently signed up to vispa broadband but find that after 30 mins online i get the error cannot find site, the adsl light is still on but nothing works so I have to re-boot the modem. I've cancelled my old dial-up so it's not that, it's not set to hang up after sending/receiving mails so it's not that. Anyone got any ideas?? I'm using win98se, anti-virus and mcafee firewall plus.
Driving me nuts.

I'm still slightly concerned that my pc doesn't show that i'm actually connected when using broadband, i can't add another dial-up (not sure if i should anyway) as it doesn't recognise the modem. Should i be trying to resolve this, could this be something to do with my cut-offs, or should i just turn on and surf and stop worrying???

thanks

Have you called your ISP's tech support? They can walk you thru solving this, you should not have to reboot your modem. I suspect it may have something to do with your firewall but they can tell you for sure. When you say your pc doesn't show you connected, do you mean that the little computer icons are not at the bottom right of the screen? There is a setting in network settings to make those appear. I'm hesitant to say where because it's different in 98 than in XP
