This pops up when I try to start my computer. It says there is an error loading a .dll file.
I am unable to start windows me. All I get is my background.
I have made a boot disk but I am such a rookie I do not know how to proceed from here.
Could someone please instruct me in how to recover my computer without losing the files on my hard drive?

Hi Navy,
It may be that the .dll file is corrupt. Try this: copy down the exact name of the file and search for it on the 'net. If you find it, copy it onto something you can get into your computer that won't start--a floppy disk, if it'll fit. You'll have to boot with your boot disk to a command prompt (A:>), change to where the .dll file goes, probably C:\Windows\system, and copy the .dll file there.
If you can't find the file on the 'net post back, 'cause there are other ways.
HTH,
