I do`nt care whether anyone agrees with me or not but some people make me angry.
I work in a shopping/factory outlet village and we have childrens play areas. Just recently, on average twice a day, some parents put their children in the play area
(some as young as three) and go shopping, leaving them at times up to 2 hours. The play areas are unsupervised so the temptation for the kids to wander off looking for mum/dad is high.
Ther is also the question of weirdos just coming in and taking one of them away.
Twice, during the last week I`ve waited with a child until one of the parents returned and when I`ve said that they shouldn`t leave them alone, I`ve been told to mind my own business and that they will be ok.

Tram is right. I would do that, I swear. As young as 3 and they're being left alone? NO WAY!

I would have to say if that happened here it would be considered a form of child abuse and the parents would have to answer for it.
but I seen this happen myself and its easy to say to mind your own business and go on but I have a conscience to deal with and I couldn't live with myself to to let it go, but then I would also get mad and call the cops and let them take charge.

That is too bad that they're doing that. But, you know, when they made the decision to leave their child there to play while they shopped, they knew what the risks were. They were just pissed because they got caught...it's that simple. There is no way, in this day and time, that they didn't know they were taking a risk...you just caught 'em! Call the cops....

A few years ago, I went to shop at Pennys and pulled into the parking lot. About 2 cars down from me there was an baby about 6 months old strapped into a car seat with the windows rolled up. It was a mild 80+ degrees outside, so it was pretty hot inside the car.
Anyways, I waited about 10 minutes and then took the baby inside the store. No, the doors were not locked!
I had the manager announce for the mother of the child over the intercom system. When she showed up (about 15 minutes later) there was a small group of outraged parents waiting for her. Everyone read her the riot act and she left. I doubt she ever did that again! She wasn't real young, so she should have known better. I still think of that child whenever I see one alone.

It's just riduculous how some parents are so stupid and I wonder what they would be screaming if someone actually took their child. I also was in a shopping center and there was a vehicle parked in front of me in the hottest part of the summer with two children locked in the vehicle. I stood out there for at least 15 min trying to get them to unlock the door as I could see one was turning red that was in a car seat. They wouldn't open the door. Pages were sent inside the store for the owner. Finally the law was called and they told us to bust out a window, which we we're in the process of doing when the baby sitter came out. She had charges pressed against her by HRS and the parents. Just make you want to take them and shake them.
