Hi, Hope someone can help me. My son turned on his computer yesterday morning and it came up unable to find the registry so it had the typical options of "start up as normal, logged, safe mode, or line by line". Choose any and once the screen comes up it begins searching for 'new hardware' which it can't find and subsequently ends up with the error message of "SuReg Create Key Failed" with nothing on the desktop. Cntrl-Alt-Delete offers only the three options of "close program, shut down, cancel". I wanted to run regscan/restore through DOS but am unable to get to DOS. I have a ME boot disk (which I verified is good on my other computer) and have even gone so far as to swap floppy drives to ensure that the drive is good but I always receive the error "non-system disk in drive, insert system disk and press enter'. I've tried multiple disks, multiple drives as well as the CD in an effort to get to DOS to no avail. I've checked in the BIOS and ensured that the floppy drive is there, that it's set to 1.44 and most everything else I need to make sure it set properly in the BIOS without any positive results. I always end up with 'non system disk.." or srating up only to receive the error "SuReg Create Key Failed" and no working options. Sorry to be so lengthy but I wanted to ensure that I explained the problem clearly as well as what I've tried. I'm okay with the basic stuff but this is outside my area of understanding. Thanks in advance for any help in getting my son back up and running.

Welcome to CTH Mark. Did you check to see if your bios is detecting your floppy drive when you boot? Perhaps this (http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56481&highlight=invalid+system+disk) thread might help.
