attachment feature working???

I was just checking an older thread (http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47491&highlight=desktop)and saw that those messages with attachments had a red x. Does this mean it is not working anymore. Or is there a time limit since using cth server?

Do you mean "Are old attatchments eventually deleted?" or "Is the attatch files to posts feature still allowed?"

it is meant exactly as written. Attachments are not allowed if a non subscriber tries to add one. May not even have the option. For those attachments to be added the poster had to be a subscriber and there were pictures when the messages was originally posted.

Hey Dan, I think it's a problem with the individual's image hosts -
I can see dammit's photbucket images, I can't see Rsdarkstar123 's which are also on photobucket - conclusion, theyve been removed from the host. 72montecarlo's are on a different host. Dohrays are gone from his host.


Mishy's attachment is probably broken because he moved all hosted images to images.cybertechhelp.com

attachments work different from photos being hosted elsewhere. Attachments are hosted here at cth.

You do not have to subscribe to post pictures as long as they are hosted elsewheres. You have to subscribe to have attachments.

There were only 2 attachments posted in the thread - Mishy's and Dans' - both of which were broken by Mishy's moving all CTH hosted images.

The other missing images are posted by using standard tags and have been broken by the users or their image hosts.

Yes M.Photolady, attachments are a benefit of subscription.

Thanks smurfy. subscription will have to await more funds.....I don't get paid for the other forum. :( :D But I use photobucket over there, so I can use it here as well. ;)
