says I need to be connected when I already am

When I try to open an e-mail that I receive though "Juno" that requires that I be connected to the internet even though I have AOL open it says that need to be connected to the internet and the only way that I am able to open this is to cut and then open AOL and paste but never use to have to do this can you help me as to what is happening now? Thank You

Hi tgar, welcome to CTH

This is probably an email in HTML format that has images embedded in it. AOL's email software isn't particularly standard, links have to be done slightly differently to work for example, and I suspect that the images aren't loading for a similar reason.

Hi Steven and thanks for your reply but what I don't understand is that this used to not be the case I was always able to open the e-mail before and suddenly I can't after a crash. As you can probably tell I am not real up to snuff on computer knowledge.

I've had problems with a crash messing up the AOL software, to the extent of needing to format and reinstall completely to get a particular feature to work.

That said, check that keyword: mail controls isn't set to block attachments to emails, and that there's nothing set in keyword: parental controls that would block images
