Can't join a domain Wiin2K Server from XP Pro

Hello guys

Maybe this is a silly question, but i have performed many searches on the web an nothing yet.

I would like that someone tells me a checklist I should complete in order to join a Domain under Windows 2000 Server. Is the only server on the site, service pack 4. Avast Antivirus for server, active directory configured and populated per Microsoft web site instructions.

XP clients cannot login on the server domain because the machine or the computer could not be found on the domain, I have created the names of the computers that will connect to the server and says an error.
DHCP is active and DNS is up and running. I can surf the web, from the server and clients but them cannot join the domain.

Can someone please tell me what do I have to check?

Have you joined the domain with the xp pro station yet? XP pro lets you join the domain through "Computer Name" Tab under system properties. Click on the button to change work or join a Domain. If it doesn't connect let me know the error or message it tells you.

Since my Win2K Server is in spanish i am getting 2 errors while trying to include the laptopn into the domain.

I could not find the "XP pro lets you join the domain through "Computer Name" Tab under system properties. Click on the button to change work or join a Domain" my XP is in spanish can you point me what icons or click do you perform in english to accomplish this? Thanks!
