Opening a home page in IE6

When i click the Internet Explorer icon on
Desktop, I get the almost always-but not everytime get the IE6 Home Page, even thought I have set my favorite site with the USE CURRENT button. I have gone into the registry settings and viewed all the related settings as suggested by computer gurus all over. It still comes up IE6 Home Page almost every time. PS. I have gone to the fixit tool in Control Panel for IE, used it and even gone as far as deleting and reinstalling the IE6 program.

Thanks,
Terry H

Well this is a little weird since you already have IE6 but I'd say you have it set to check for updates automatically.

Is there an IE6 SP available that you haven't installed?

Not sure if this is in the same place in IE6 but in 5.5 it's Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/"Automatically check for Internet Explorer Updates"

Uncheck it.
