Hello  thanks for looking at this!
I am having two problems with Realtek Ethernet 100bps connection.
The first is simplw and the second quite complex.
1. How do I delete an existing network connection? If i right click on it, delete is there, but faded out. Ive trioed dragging it to the bin but no joy. Is this normal?
2. I dont know if you are familiar with a piece of software called "Teleport FX". It is designed for audio programs (VirtualStudioTechnology in particular).
It works in that it spreads your virtual instruments acroos two networked computers, thereby utilising the processing power of a second computer.
I have set it up correctly but there is a problem. Not only does the second (slave) computer use its processing power for a virtual instrument, but so does the Host. This obviously defeats the purpose.
I have a feeling that this is due to the network being wrongly configured.
Somebody mentioned IRQ's and busmastering, but it could be something else.
The "Network Utilization" percentage seems to be fine when the program is running (about %40), so its not that its overloaded, but perhaps something else is giving it trouble.
Any ideas whatsoever would be very very very much appreciated.
thanks in advance,
nik
