I am setting up a Windows 2003 server as a printer server, with NT4.0 & XP workstation clients.

When I load the NT4.0 drivers for a HP Deskjet 890c, I get the following error messages :

First error message :
The driver that you are trying to install is not compatible with windows server 2003 family. Please contact the manufacturer for an updated version or click ok to install a Microsoft-provided driver

Second error message :
Unable to install hp deskjet 890c series, windows nt4.0,x86 driver. The specified print monitor is unknown

I have tried to search the HP & Microsoft sites for any info, but non found.

Any help would be much appreciated....

Thanks

unfortunately there are no specific 2003 drivers for your printer. Try the ones for winxp or win2k. Sometimes they are interchangable.
