Hi,
We are curently using windows 2000 on a network, the problem we are having is that each time we map a disk (also click on reconect on logon) and restart or shut down the computer, the maped disk disapears. We are also having the same trouble with some of the personal setings, which also reset at restart. Can someone give me a clue on how to fix this problem,
Thx,

Could be a permissions issue - can Administrator save mapped drives between reboots?

I'm not to sure how would I check to see, I did log in to the server to see but I could not find the seting for it. Does anyone know were the setings are?

The test I was suggesting would be to log on to the Win2000 client as Administrator, map the drives, reboot and log back on as Administrator. If the drive mapping is retained, then chances are it is a permissions problem with the user profiles who are not able to save the mappings.
In order to suggest a fix for that, we'd need to know what sort of network you are on i.e. whether the profiles are local or domain (roaming).

Hi I tryed it out, and it did save the mapped drive when i was loged as a admin. We currently use a domain on a windows 2000 server, how would i go about so that it saves the maped disks for users?
(also I have tryed disconecting a mapped drive and that also comes back after restart)
Thank you
