I have DWL-G120 wireless USB adapter from D-Link and for some reason, the computer wont detect it as new hardware. Any known problems or dumb mistakes I'm making? Every time I plug it in I reinstall the driver. Should I be doing this?

You should be, install drivers > restart computer > plug in usb device.
That is how to install any USB device on a PC.
Other than that check the site for updated drivers.

Hi that goog advise above; also check what service patch you have if it XP2 then goto the services and turn off wireless configurator zero and also Microsoft Firewall then re-load the drivers. I had the same problem I also had to download a new driver from www.dlink.com or via the ftp site.
