Hello, I am trying to open some ports for Madden 2005. I have tried turning off every firewall I can think of, but I still can't host a game so I'm going to try this I have a bunch of numbers but I'm not exactly sure how to go about opening them. This is what is says in the manual.

Madden 2005 uses the following TCP and UDP ports for Internet play:

HTTP: 80 (outbound only)
HTTPS: 443 (outbound only)
TCP 13505, 26300-26399 (outbound only)
UDP 1795,1797 (inbound and outbound)

I tried to open them using the box on the attachment but I'm not sure what box to click and what numbers to put where. I'm not even sure this is the right way to open ports. Can anyone help me out?

Thank you

Hello,

I have Madden 2005 for my PC. I am on a dell dimension 8200 with windows xp. I have the Service Pack 2 installed as well. I recently got Verizon dsl.

After I installed the new service pack, Madden 2005 wouldn't let me host a game. I then minimized the game and saw a popup asking me if I wanted to continue blocking Madden. I clicked no and then everything worked fine and I could host. Later though, after configuring our dsl service to send out our username and password through the router instead of through the computer itself, I could not host. There are no pop ups saying that the Service Pack Firewall is blocking madden, and in the exceptions list, the Main app for madden appears. I even turned the new firewall completely off and I still could not host a game. However I can join someone elses game with no problem. I looked at my router by typing in its IP address in the address bar, and it is allowing all traffic, so I have no idea what to do about this.

If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it,

Thank you
