Wireless G networks vs. Wireless B networks

I'm currently using a Microsoft Wireless G router(802.11G), and am looking to buy a wireless card to connect to another computer. Would getting one for a wireless B network make any big difference? They're much more common I find.

B is also cheaper but nobody wants its because it is slower and signal does not travel as far. see this chart (http://linksys.com/edu/wirelessstandards.asp)

Well, the chart does say it's compatible with B networks, but it seems to reduce to the speed of B networks ( 11 Mbps instead of the 54 Mbps for G networks).

But would I notice any big difference for my home network? A wireless B network usb card connected to a wireless G router.

If there is a wall or other interference then yes, there could be a difference. But you really don't know about this until you try it. If you have a local walmart (if they have them in canada), try the b, if you don't like it you can exchange it without a problem
