Help Please....

Working with windows 98. Deleted some adware now the computer will not log on to the internet. Alos getting a Noton error. When trying to get on to the internet, I get the page cannott be displayed. Worried about backing up registry, and wondering how to do it. Can someone PLEASE help. The files that I deleted that I think caused the problem is:
inetadpt.dll

Any help is greatly appreciated

Download and run LSPFix (http://www.cexx.org/LSPFix.exe).
Check 'I know what I'm doing'.
Select 'inetadpt.dll'.
Click the right-pointing arrow.
Click 'Finished'.
Restart your computer.
Delete the following file: %SystemDir%\inetadpt.dll
Note: %SystemDir% is a variable (? (http://www.kephyr.com/spywarescanner/library/glossary/variable.phtml)). By default, this is C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me), C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000), or C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP).

I can't get onto the internet? Actually I am writing for my brother in law and he can't access the internet because of this problem? Help please
