Okay, my girl's laptop now has Win95 installed. It is a Thinkpad 1300 700MHz, methinks a 10GB hard drive. Is there a way that I can copy my Windows 98 se operating system from my laptop (since I don't have that CD) and then use this to upgrade her's? Reason being is that I can't get her ME upgrade CD to get in there and she needs her OfficeXP back in there for college (which 95 won't allow me to put in)---the screen freezes at the second to the last step of the ME installation. OR, what kind of cable would I need to transfer over some of these files? A USB to serial? I dunno!!! What does a USB to serial cable do by the way? Thanks! :baby:

It is illegal to have two computers using the same copy of Windows and I don't think Cyber Tech Help endorses the methods used to pirate copies of Windows. I would purchase either Windows 98 Upgrade or Windows 98 Full from eBay. Prices are fairly low, around fifteen dollars and personally, I would forget the "upgrade" version and purchase the full version of Windows 98. It costs a few dollars extra and is a better choice.
